great seat
I have found it difficult to find a plastic seat with a sturdy metal hinge. We always seem to be replacing ours because plastic hinges break and wooden seats loose their finish due to cleaning chemicals. I love this seat! Yes, it's pricey, but it looks pretty cool with the bubbles (which the photo doesn't really do justice). I've had it about a month and I'm confidant enough in the quality that I purchased a couple bathroom accessories to match it.

Fits nice, feels good
I bought a vintage 1960s blue toilet from Craigslist for dirt cheap and initially bought a new color matched toilet seat. Bad idea. That seat was not suitable for even a pregnant cockroach. The plastic hinges quickly un-hinged themselves and within 4 weeks said toilet seat was heading towards a landfill, there's really not re-purposing uses for a used toilet seat, is there?
Enter the Ginsey Blue Bubble Seat. It's aquatic appearance is pleasant, but the chrome hinges are the bread and butter. They're like a Chevy 350, just built to last. Seat does not wobble and it stays up when you want it to stand vertically. The comfort is reasonable, it's not like sitting on a hammock, but the material doesn't stick to your posterior either. This is the 2nd Ginsey seat in my carefully curated home, so I'm fan.
Ginsey Toilet Seat
As beautiful as it was, we were unable to get the toilet seat to screw on. We went to Lowe,s to try to get screws to fit the bolt of seat. We called the mfg. who sent us a part to tighten the bolt, which didn,t work either.
We called Brown's Linens and we are returning both toilet seats. We are very unhappy we have to return these seats.
Brown's & Linens were nice enough to take them back.
