Excellent Product!
I ordered this through Amazon for my mother. She had been using a hideous elevated riser. This one has hinges and is excellent for anyone who is concerned about hygiene and cleanliness. Furthermore, it blends in with the decor and is virtually unnoticeable because you can put your toilet seat on top of the riser so that you're sitting on a normal toilet seat, rather than a hideous and uncomfy riser. It is perfect for the patient and guests as no one will feel uncomfortable sitting on it. It is also an inexpensive and temporary solution to the toilet height issue. Switching to an ADA approved toilet or fitting a riser to the base of the toilet are expensive alternatives. Installation is really easy b/c by the time I got home, my father (who is not very handy) had it already installed and my mom was raving about it.
I highly recommend this product. It is well worth the money. I ordered an elongated one for the upstairs bathroom. Now the bathrooms are not eyesores,...

You must have the correct type of toilet seat/lid for this to work
They don't tell you this in the product specs: This product attaches to the toilet by a large bolt that goes down through the toilet lid/seat hinge, the riser, and through the toilet itself which is then tightened with a wing nut. If your existing toilet lid/seat does not have a hinge that allows a bolt to pass through it (mine did not), you'll have to purchase another toilet lid/seat in order to use this product. I haven't used the product yet (I'm on my way now to purchase a new lid/seat now) so I can't say whether I like it or not, but I certainly don't like buying products online that don't provide specific requirements for use.

I was at the Doctors all day the day i received my Hinged Elevated Toilet Seat(Size=Standard) . I had a Epidural Lumbar Injection. However, I was able to installed myself within 15mins. I immediately tried it out because, some of the reviews stated it was unstable. NO, not at all it is very stable and the height is just right. I actually updated my bathroom it fits the new decor. I recommend this item to anyone who have mobility problems. Lower back pain or Knee pain.....buy it and enjoy!
