Still happy with it after many years.
I've had this cutting board for years, in four different kitchens. It has held up well. I haven't needed to fret about oiling it, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. For me, the main advantage of oiling it is meat juices don't absorb. The pictures don't show it well, but there is a slight liquid depression at the front of the board, which can be annoying if you are cutting and part of the thing you are cutting is over the depression, as it will not cut all the way through. Also, there are finger groove bevels on left and right bottom, which makes picking it off a flat counter much easier. I've washed mine with soap and water, and then air dried, for years. The block is still perfectly flat. No signs of warping or splitting. The block is much heavier than appearances, but still manageable. This block has been a worthwhile investment, when I think about all the other blocks I purchased over the years that did not last as long.

Outstanding Craftsmanship

But first things first ... KUDOS to Amazon.com for their outstanding customer service. I e-mailed Amazon about the splitting of the board and immediately they replied with these words ..."A New Cutting Board Is On The Way"... WOW! I like that, this I like - Great Customer Service! And of course, one good turn deserves another, I immediately returned the 'bad' board to Amazon, no questions asked and none since.
I have to admit this about the 'bad' board, I did not oil the board when it arrived. In fact, I didn't oil the board until after two weeks of little to no use. However, the day after I oiled it, it began to split. I'm not blaming anyone but I mistakenly thought all cutting boards were pre-oiled and that I had some 'play' time (maybe not 2 weeks) before I needed to oil it. This Is Wrong Folks. Great Birthday Gift
My daughter bought this for me for my birthday, I sent her the link after finding it on Amazon and reading the reviews. I love this cutting board!! I love the fact that I can move it anywhere in my kitchen since I have limited counter space. It's big enough to allow me to cut several different items and put them aside neatly then add them as I need them. No more cutting, cleaning, clear the board, but clean clear the board. Great for making salads. It would be nice if it was a bit thinner but overall I'm satisfied. Be sure to oil it when you get it so it doesn't split or warp.
