Easy to use, but length cannot be changed.
Got this for a stroke patient. Once assembled, which was pretty easy for me to do, noticed immediately the overall length cannot be changed. Unless your toilet and tub are perfectly in spec for the full length of the sliding seat frame (like the advertising image shows), there will be problems. You will either have to move the toilet or position the sliding frame in front of the toilet like we had to do. Makes it kind of awkward in getting the stroke patient onto the bench, but it's doable.
You won't be able to close a shower door or curtain fully when the bench is in the tub.
It's a sturdy piece of equipment and will probably give years of service. Easy to clean the two piece plastic seat. The seat halves each have a safety belt. When not in service, we remove the equipment and lean it against the bathroom wall, so the bath and toilet is available for us non-stroke folk.

Again,simpicity in constrution and design carries the day and produces a needed item showing signs of simple genius while answering a growing need. The LONG TOILET TO TUB (OR SHOWER)SLIDING TRANSFER BENCH solves the problem of providing a safe bathroom envirnment for sick or injured family members without the atronomical cost of a complete shower /bath redo. You can slide the patient from the toilet directly into the shower very safely due to the seat belts and chair back. The patient never has to stand or walk in the shower. Well worth its cost.
works great wish it was adjustable
Bought this for my Mom with dementia so that caregivers could give her a shower safely. The chair works great. Lots of support and it is very easy to control how the person is moved in and out of the shower. Might not work as well for a person over 200 pounds. My mom only weighs about 120. The down side is that it is not an easy fit, and the size cannot be changed. But there are ways to change the size so that you can make the chair fit almost any arrangement. What we did was to take off the legs on the far side of the toilet. This gave us an extra three inches. We then had a carpenter attach pipe flanges to the side of the cabinet. The rails of the chair fit perfectly into the pipes screwed into the flanges. This supported the rails very well and we had no problems. You have to be careful to cover the metal pipes so that no one can get cut or hurt on them. Like I said our Mom does not weigh much. Definitely a good product and useful. Just not perfect.
